Developing a healthy balance diet to fit the needs and preferences of each resident, is our first priority. Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Dietary Department strives to prepare attractive, well-balanced and varied meals in accordance with the special nutritional needs of our residents.
The dietary staff is
under the direction of a Certified Dietitian and a Certified Dietary
Manager and is managed on a daily basis by the Food Service Supervisor.
Our dietary staff can prepare all special diets prescribed by the
physician. Upon admission, the Certified Dietary Manager will interview
to determine food likes and dislikes of each resident, while at the same
time formulating a delicious and nutritious dietary plan.
Residents attend monthly resident council meetings and regular menu
planning meetings where they can voice their thoughts and suggestions
regarding the menu. The Dietary staff works closely with the Recreation
Department to provide many culinary delights for various activities,
parties, and special events.
